Refund and Withdrawal Policy
Draft: pending lawyer review. Not legal advice. This text has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before launch.
We want you to pay for Farlane only if it helps you. This policy explains how refunds, withdrawal and cancellation work. Payments are processed by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record, so refunds are paid out by Paddle.
14-day refund
If you are not happy with Farlane, ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. No questions asked, in every country we serve. You can ask in either of these ways:
- from the receipt email, through Paddle's order page at paddle.net;
- by contacting us at [TBD: support email].
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Paddle usually processes them within a few days; your bank may take longer to show them.
Right of withdrawal (EU and UK)
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the day the contract was concluded.
To withdraw, use the Withdraw from contract button on your account page and confirm, or send us a clear statement (for example by email) that you want to withdraw. You can use the model form below, but you do not have to. We confirm every withdrawal by email.
Because our 14-day refund above is a full refund, you get all of your money back when you withdraw within 14 days, even if you have already started using the lessons. [TBD: confirm with counsel whether any express-consent wording at checkout is still needed.]
Model withdrawal form
To [TBD: legal entity name, address and email]:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: Farlane subscription, ordered on [date], name of consumer, email address of the account, date.
Cancelling your subscription
Cancel at any time from your account page, in two clicks. There is no call to make and no form to fill in. After you cancel:
- you are not charged again;
- you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for;
- you can resubscribe at any time.
After the first 14 days
Renewal payments are not refunded automatically when you forget to cancel, but contact us within 14 days of a renewal and we will look at it fairly. If we fail to provide the service you paid for, or materially reduce it, we refund the unused part.
Business customers
Enterprise subscriptions follow the Enterprise Terms and the order form.
